Executive Director Job Posting

Saskatoon United Soccer Club (SUSC) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Executive Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors with direction from the Club President. The Executive Director is responsible for implementing the long-term goals and execution of the club’s mission, strategic plan and financial objectives. The Executive Director responsibilities include overseeing and managing the club’s administration, technical coordination, responsible for establishing, growing and maintaining positive relationships between SUSC and all stakeholders, including: the membership, youth sport governing bodies (SYSI, SSA & CSA) and the community.

This newly created position will start as permanent part-time (20 hours/week) with potential to grow into a permanent full-time position.


  • Collaboration with the Board to:
    • lead the process to review, refine and confirm the mission, policies and procedures of the club ensuring Club alignment with SSA/CSA
    • establish five year strategic plan for the club
    • coordinate the development of annual budgets
  • Collaborate/coordinate efforts with technical director
  • Direct the care and maintenance of the club’s physical assets, including equipment and facilities
  • Manage facility schedules for games, practices, camps and academies
  • Manage the player registration program and activities
  • Direct the purchasing, storage and distribution of equipment, uniforms and supplies
  • Execute regular membership communications, including website, email communications and social media
  • Tournament management including registration, scheduling of games/facilities and organization of volunteer activities
  • Present reports during monthly board meeting


  • A minimum of five years' experience in leading and managing a non-profit volunteer-led organization
  • Experience with sport administration, preferably youth sport
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong conflict resolution skills
  • A high level of computer literacy with extensive experience working with online registration and payment processing systems
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in program planning and administration
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (i.e. weekend events, evenings, etc.)
  • Must have current Criminal Record clearances
