Sask Soccer U12 Jamboree returning to Saskatoon

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association is very pleased to announce that a U12 Jamboree will once again be hosted in Saskatoon this September. With support from Saskatoon Youth Soccer, Inc. the event will take place at Newsham on Sunday, September 12, 2010. 2010 will mark the third year consecutive year that the popular jamboree program will be offered in Saskatoon. Originally established in the Netherlands, the jamboree format is designed to emphasize the enjoyment of the players and limit adult involvement by providing young athletes with the opportunity to participate in a self-organized, guided discovery-based competition.

Community Coach Youth and Community Coach Child Clinics
The Saskatchewan Soccer Association is again offering the Community Coach Youth and Community Coach Child Clinics. The Community Coach Child clinic will be held on Friday, Feb 19 and Saturday, Feb 20, 2010. The Community Coach Youth clinic will be held on Friday, Feb 19 through to Sunday, Feb 21, 2010. Participants must attend all sessions. The sessions will run Friday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and on Sunday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
SPACE IS LIMITED, SO REGISTER EARLY. Saskatoon Youth Soccer will accept registrations from Saskatoon Youth Soccer Coaches ONLY until Tuesday February 9, 2010 at 4:00pm.
High Performance Goalkeeping Clinics
Sask Soccer has announced that a High Performance Clinic for Goalkeepers will once again take place in Regina and Saskatoon from January to March 2010. This clinic is open to all goalkeepers from U13 to U18. Please click here for more information and registration details. The deadline for registering is January 7th, 2010.

New Program Director (Soccer) – Octavian Iliuta
We are pleased to announce our newest staff member, Octavian Iliuta, who has recently filled the new position of Program Coordinator. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of all participant programs for Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. (SYSI). The Program Coordinator will work with the other staff and key volunteers to ensure the effective operation of leagues, tournaments and competitions for the members. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall technical development of the sport for the membership, working in partnership with the Zones and the Saskatchewan Soccer Association.
