2008 Saskatchewan Summer Games

Congratulations to the boys and girls teams for representing Saskatoon (Zone 6) and a great thanks to the coaching staff and volunteers who took part in the 2008 Saskatchewan Summer Games this summer!

A special thanks goes out to girls coaching staff Huw Morris, Renee Smith, Kate Fast; the boys coaching staff Percy Hoff, Jason Hydomako, Rod Chometa; the Zone 6 Mission Staff Tom Walters (Chef), Brenda O'Connor, Dennis Beerling, Gaston Gourdeau, Leanne Friedenstab, Mark Korthuis, TJ Biemens, Sally Horel, Sharon Leach; and last but not least the Saskatoon Sports Council and any of the countless parent volunteers!

There were 8 teams participating in both the girls and boys soccer events at the 2008 Saskatchewan Summer Games from August 3 to 9 in Lloydminster.

In Girls Soccer, Saskatoon's team came in 1st winning the Gold. They played against Swift Current with a 2 – 1 score. Lauren Shyluk scored both goals for Saskatoon.

In Boys Soccer, Saskatoon's team came in 5th place winning 1 – 0 score against Regina. Troy Baschuk scored the goal.
