Here at SUSC, volunteers are, and always have been, the foundation of our club.  Youth sports would not be possible without people like you, year over year, joining in to help and have fun on the soccer pitch!  Kids in our community benefit from your contribution every day and we thank you so much.

As we navigate this year's unprecedented growth of our membership this season, as well as the increased standards of the Saskatchewan Soccer Association Safe Sport Roster, SUSC's Technical Team of certified Coaches have been working tirelessly to support players, Volunteer Coaches, Team Managers, and families.  And we know there's always room to improve.

To continue to be able to offer support to teams in training, games, and tournaments, while continuing to improve our programming, SUSC is introducing two new initiatives:

1. Procedure for Technical Support.   This procedure aims to offer an easy process by which SUSC teams can seek support when needed and to enable SUSC Technical to continue offering this valuable support.  Please see the details below and contact Huw if you have any questions at hmorris@shaw.ca

2. Safe Sport Roster In-House Training. SUSC will once again host free NCCP On-Field Module courses for NCCP Fundamentals (U7/U9) and NCCP Learn to Train (U11/U13) in 2024 (dates and info coming soon!).  We are happy to help any coaches seeking to complete the SSA Full Safe Sport Roster requirements in order to participate in tournaments (other than the Mini SISCO).  Contact Jaime for more info at operations@susc.ca

Thanks again for your contributions and your understanding.  Any teams seeking support from Technical can reach out to Technical Director Huw Morris anytime!

PROCEDURE FOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Technical Support may include:

1. Emergency Coverage at a team practice or game - when Registered Volunteer Team Personnel cannot fulfill the Rule of Two or Gender Rep requirements (due to emergency, illness, bereavement, etc.).

  1. Requests should be made a minimum of seven (7) days in advance whenever possible to enable scheduling, by emailing Coach Huw at hmorris@shaw.ca
  2. Unfortunately, requests made with less than 48 hours notice may not be possible to accommodate.
  3. Emergency Coverage will be provided based on the availability of the Technical team.  These awesome coaches are all Volunteer Coaches of their own team(s) as well.
  4. If Emergency Coverage cannot be provided by SUSC, teams will be required to either cancel/reschedule their training or reschedule/forfeit their game.
  5. Please contact Jaime at operations@susc.ca for assistance if events need to be cancelled or rescheduled.

2. Technical Assistance at a team practice or game - when Volunteer Coaches will attend but are seeking on-field support.

  1. Requests should be made a minimum of seven (7) days in advance to enable scheduling, by emailing Coach Huw at hmorris@shaw.ca.
  2. Technical Assistance will be provided based on the availability of the Technical team.
  3. Teams may be invoiced $25/hour/staff for Technical Assistance.

3. Guest Coach for a Tournament - when Volunteer Coaches cannot complete the required Safe Sport Roster requirements in time for the team to participate in a tournament.

  1. If a team wishes to enter a tournament (other than the Mini SISCO), one team personnel must have completed the Full Safe Sport Roster requirements (Click to Learn More about Full Safe Sport Roster)
  2. If a team wishes to enter a tournament but cannot fulfill the Full Safe Sport Roster Requirements in time, Technical Coaches can be requested for the tournament by emailing Coach Huw at hmorris@shaw.ca.
  3. If a Guest Coach is assigned to assist for a tournament, teams may be invoiced $25/hour/staff for Tournament Guest Coaches.
