VOLUNTEER TEAM PERSONNEL - Coaches, Managers, Gender Reps

Coach Development & SSA Safe Sport Requirements

Want to lead a team through growth and victory as a Head Coach? Maybe you'd prefer to support and mentor as an Assistant Coach?  Or would you rather keep the team organized as a Team Manager?  Earn Volunteer Credits and give back to kids in your community.  SUSC will be here to provide training and guidance along the way!

Saskatchewan Soccer requires what they call the "Full Safe Sport Roster Requirements" for all Coaches and Assistant Coaches for Outdoor Season teams who wish to participate in tournaments or special events, and the "Modified Safe Sport Roster" for all other Volunteers, including Managers and Gender Reps.  While Coach Development can seem overwhelming at first, our Technical team and Operations staff are here to help!

ALL VOLUNTEERS require:

  • Criminal Record Check completed within the past 2 years
  • Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course completed within the past 5 years
  • Understanding the Rule of Two - free online course (link below)
  • Registration in RAMP as a COACH/STAFF: Saskatoon United Soccer Club : RAMP Registrations

ALL U11-U19 COACHES and ASSISTANT COACHES require:

  • Canada Soccer's NCCP ONLINE MODULE - relevant to the age group being coached (see below)
  • Canada Soccer's NCCP On-FIELD MODULE - registration required (info below)
  • Sask Coaches Association NCCP Making Ethical Decisions - registration required (info below)
  • NCCP Making Headway - Free online course
  • NCCP Emergency Action Planning - Free online course

*Any U7 or U9 teams who wish to participate in Tournaments other than the SYSI Mini FOS will require the same Coach and Assistant Coach requirements as U11-U19 teams.

Contact operations@susc.ca or info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca for information about the Safe Sport Roster.

SSA'S FULL SAFE SPORT ROSTER COURSES AND CLINICS - Space at In-Person Clinics is limited, so SUSC recommends registering early for the NCCP and MED courses.  Contact operations@susc.ca or info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca if you have any questions.
